MicroSys is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Requirements Analyst to join our team in the Reston, VA area to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within MicroSys. The Senior Requirements Analyst will support multiple federal agencies through the Continuous Diagnostics & Mitigation (CDM) Program. The CDM Program is a high-profile, high-visibility, cybersecurity modernization and risk management program where you can contribute innovative solutions and consult with many different federal agencies to enhance their Information Assurance (IA) programs and continuous monitoring capabilities.
As a member of the Service Transition organization, the Senior Requirements Analyst will work closely with engineers, testers, trainers as well as government Agency personnel to perform requirements analysis, analysis of alternative solutions, and generation/maintenance of Requirements Traceability Matrices in support of the deployment of cyber solutions. The Senior Requirements Analyst will execute effective solutions for internal and external requirements management functions on a large-scale cyber program.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Requirements Analyst will perform all key functions for the facilitation, execution, documentation, and reporting of requirements management practices both internally and externally with government agencies. In addition, Senior Requirements Analyst will track the status of new/implemented solution capabilities/features ensuring traceability of technical functional requirements to test case outcomes.
- Maintain the requirements management processes and procedures within the Change Management Plan to support requirements management
- Engage internal and external stakeholders throughout the requirements management process to ensure comprehensive communications related to RFS development efforts and upcoming SELC gate reviews, and coordinate/track communications for requirements management analysts
- Create and maintain use cases that describe how the proposed solution meets CDM objectives
- Derive high-level CDM requirements to ensure that the proposed solution fulfills all CDM objectives
- Perform liaison tasks to cultivate internal and external stakeholder consensus that both use cases and derived requirements are in line with solution capabilities and CDM objectives
- Develop and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrices as well as processes and procedures to support Requirements Management
- Perform liaison tasks to de-conflict Requirements Traceability Matrices through Working Integrated Product Team (WIPT) meetings
- Track the status of each RFS solution (capabilities/features), ensuring traceability of technical functional requirements to test case outcomes
- Assess potential impacts on ability to meet solution requirements within applicable Information Security frameworks and policies
- Generate and evaluate requirements management metrics and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Analyze requirements management process and capitalize on opportunities for process improvement, and development of new processes/procedures
- Support creation of contract deliverables and change control project artifacts
- Support training efforts as required - provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7+ years demonstrated of requirements management related experience
- Experience working with the federal government Agency change control boards
- Must be comfortable working with both internal and external stakeholders to interpret and define solution requirements
- Knowledge of IT systems management, particularly Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile development methodologies as well as ITIL/ITSM experience
- Effective oral and written communication skills with customer, technical, and management personnel
- Must possess a self-starter mentality and be an effective, solution-based problem solver
- Ability to work as part of a team and work independently
- Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office suite (including MS Office Suite, Visio, and MS Project)
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust and DHS Suitability clearance
Desired Qualifications:
- Current DHS Entry on Duty (EOD) and other civilian Agency clearances
- Active Top Secret clearance preferred
- ITIL certification a plus
- Extensive experience with SharePoint & JIRA
